We have sad news to report today as veteran actor and filmmaker Feroz Khan has passed away at his farmhouse in Bangalore at 1:30 a.m. this morning. His death comes as a result of a yearlong battle with cancer. He was 69 years old.
“Feroz Khan’s contribution to the Indian film industry is huge and the film industry has suffered a big loss,” said his nephew Zayed Khan. “He was an Indian style icon and was an inspiration to many youngsters like me.”
Feroz Khan’s major contribution to Indian films was giving Indian viewers a more Western view of life through the silver screen. From his acting and directing to the way he dressed, he was instrumental in exposing Bollywood films to a Western element. His larger-than-life appearance made him a standout on the Bollywood scene and a critical favorite.
“He always believed in giving the best and made films with a westernized outlook,” his son, Sanjay Khan said. “He always believed in hard work and never gave up despite facing bottlenecks. His creativity levels always remained at the top. He made sustained efforts to make huge films with the best artists and technicians in the industry.”

Feroz was born on September 25, 1939 in Bangalore, India. He was active in the movie industry for nearly 50 years, dating back to 1960 where his first acting role came in the movie, ‘Didi.’ Feroz appeared in numerous films, with his first big hit being, ‘Oonche Log’ in 1965. He also starred in, produced and directed ‘Dharmatma,’ the first Indian film to be shot in Afghanistan, and turned out to be his first major hit as a producer, actor and director. His most recent film, ‘Welcome’ was a massive hit and turned out to be his last appearance on film.
Feroz Khan was also known for being a passionate animal lover. He always made it a need to have a performing animal in his films in some way, shape, or form. He wanted to spend his last days in his farmhouse so he can be with his dogs, according to his brother Sanjay Khan.
Feroz Khan is survived by his two children, Laila and actor Fardeen Khan. It’s being reported that Feroz’s funeral will take place later today.
Our thoughts go out to Feroz Khan’s loved ones and fans at this difficult time. He was a true Indian film icon and a pioneer in terms of opening doors creatively for future Indian producers and directors. He has left behind enough movies to last a lifetime, so he will never be forgotten.
Feel free to post your thoughts, prayers, and condolences to Feroz Khan’s family on this tragic loss

Actor and Filmmaker Feroz Khan Passes Away
Shahid Kapoor in Punjabi Rock On!
Remember actor Parmeet Sethi (from DDLJ to whom Kajol is supposed to get married) is all set to turn a director and is making his directorial debut with Yash Raj Banner.
Parmeet’s upcoming flick resembles Rock On alot in story line, but it is about a Punjabi band.
A source reveals, “Parmeet is quite excited about his directorial debut and is currently looking for an apt title. The film is based on a group of 5-6 people who form a band for Punjabi rock music. While Shahid Kapur and Anushka Sharma have already been finalised to play pivotal roles, Parmeet has also signed Veer Das and Indian Idol contestant Meiyang Chang as lead actors for the film. The film is based on the life and music of the rock band, and how the music changes their lives and eventually brings them together again.”
Parmeet Sethi says, “I won’t say that my film has got nothing to do with music but it is not exactly based on what you are saying.”
Well Shahid Kapoor as a Punjabi rockstar, what do you think folks? I say Oye! Chak De Phatte Shahid!
It’s splitsvilla for Preity-Ness
The cricket couple of last year Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia who glamourised IPL with their romance, have officially seperated after Preity sent an e-mail to her team Kings XI Punjab that she and Ness are no longer together.
Priety who is quite open about everything in her life cleared everything about her relationship in front of her team members and asked them to only concentrate on cricket leaving everything aside.
Apparently Ness has clearly not called it quits and explained to his friends and family that they are going through a rough patch and hopefully things will be alright very soon.
The duo are not living together anymore like last year, while Ness is living in a service apartment, Preity is residing at the hotel where Shilpa and SRK are also staying.
This comes as a news ‘coz recently Preity was angry on journalists for publishing news about her and Ness’ break-up which she claimed was clearly fake.
Big B’s Aladin all set to take on Harry Potter
Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is ready with his next babyu Aladin starring Big B as the genie and Rietesh as Aladin and the director claims that it is on par with Hollywood magical movies Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings.
He says, “Our funda was simple, we had to make a movie which is indeed world class. Indian audiences aren’t alien to ‘Harry Potter’ or The Lord of the Rings series. We couldn’t have given them anything less. We knew it would cost a lot of money but somehow we had an inkling that we would be able to raise it.”
The flick also has Sanjay Dutt playing the role of a villain and the music is composed by musical duo Vishal and Shekhar.
Sonam Kapoor grounded
Anil Kapoor is a strict dad and this is the reason why Sonam Kapoor was grounded after she returned home late at night.
A source reveals, “When it comes to his children, Anil Kapoor is a disciplinarian and has set rules and regulations for them. And the obedient children always abide by them. But recently Sonam reached home at about 4 a.m., after an outing with her friends. This did not go down too well with her dad and he reprimanded her and imposed a penalty – that she be grounded at home for the next one month, barring her professional commitments . And the child has taken the punishment without any protest.”
Anil is quite disciplined and protective about his kids, as the source adds, “Sonam is always guarded by two security escorts wherever she steps out of the house. Anil knows the ways of the industry and is very protective of his girl. “
However there was no confirmation from Sonam’s side about the story as she just said, ” I am always on time.”
So do you folks think Anil is quite right here?
Shah Rukh – Salman to clash?
If all goes well, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will come face to face on July 3. The clash is purely professional, what with their respective films – SRK’s ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ and Salman’s ‘Wanted’ – hitting the screens on that Friday.
‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ producer Viveck Vaswani is eyeing 3rd July because “July 4 is Independence Day in America and Shah Rukh enjoys a massive following there. I would like to capitalize on the Independence Day weekend,” Viveck tells me. Which means ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ will clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Wanted’. “If Boney Kapoor says he’s committed for 3rd July and requests me to shift my film to another week, I will do so. But so far there haven’t been any talks,” Viveck clarifies.
‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ is far from complete. Reportedly, SRK’s portions remain to be filmed. “The talkie is complete. Just one qawwali remains to be shot, which can be included at the last minute too,” Viveck reveals. He also rubbishes rumours that SRK has delayed the film. “Shah Rukh had informed me at the very outset of his busy schedule and the possibility of the film getting delayed. The delay is not because of him, it’s because of me. An important schedule went haywire when my father passed away. Later, Shah Rukh suffered an injury on my sets, hence things have been pushed forward.”
Meanwhile, ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ continues to remain in news. The latest is, Anil Ambani’s Big Pictures has relinquished the rights of the project. True? “Yes, they have. The withdrawal was due to re-strategizing the company, given the current economic scenario. But I’ll offer them the film once it’s ready. If they want to pick up the rights then, it’s okay. Else, the money invested by Big will be refunded at the time of release,” he states. Read More »»
Michael Jackson dead at 50
The singer, 50, was pronounced dead soon after he arrived at an LA hospital.
The LA Coroner has confirmed his death.
Lieutenant Fred Corral told CNN Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26pm (7.26am) local time after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest, but not a heart attack.
“I can tell you at this time that we were notified by West Los Angeles Police Department detectives that Mr Jackson was transported … to the hospital, and upon admitting, he was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at approximately 2:26 this afternoon,” Corral told CNN.
Corral said an autopsy would “most likely” be carried out tomorrow but would not speculate on the exact cause of death.
“Everything is still ongoing. We will be responding to the hospital to move Mr Jackson to our facility where he will be examined to determine the cause of death,” Corral said.
“At that point, as I said, there’s no further medical history until we get and review the medical records.”
Jackson, who had been preparing for his comeback tour, was rushed to the UCLA Medical Centre shortly before 12.30pm local time.
Special Section: Michael Jackson dead at 50
Paramedics received a 911 call directing them to the Bel Air home, off Sunset Boulevard, which Jackson rented for $100,000 a month.
Fire Department Captain Steve Ruda told US media Jackson was not breathing when they arrived. Mr Ruda said they received him at about 12.21pm.
When they arrived, they performed CPR and rushed Jackson to the medical centre, about a six-minute drive away.
Brian Oxman, a Jackson family attorney, said he was told by brother Randy Jackson that Michael Jackson had collapsed at his home in west Los Angeles.
Family members were told of the situation and were either at the hospital or en route, Oxman said.
His sister La Toya was seen rushing to the medical centre in tears.
The Los Angeles Times and CBS reported that Jackson arrived in a deep coma and was pronounced dead soon afterwards.
His dad Joe Jackson was shocked and confused after learning his son had been hospitalised.

“His mother is on her way to the hospital now,” Joe Jackson said.
Police officers cordoned off the road outside Jackson’s Bel Air home yesterday as fans swamped the UCLA Medical Centre.
Michael is survived by three children _ Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.
The seventh of nine children, Jackson was born in Indiana before moving to LA with his family where he became the star of the Jackson 5.
Watch the unfolding scene live at the hospital where Michael Jackson died
The artist behind the biggest-selling album of all time, Thriller, Jackson was attempting a comeback after years of headlines about his child molestation charges (he was acquitted) to his plastic surgery and his habit of wearing face masks.
He had been scheduled to perform 50 sell-out concerts at London’s 02 arena from next week to March 2010.
Jackson started in the music business at the age of 11 as a member of the Jackson 5 with his brothers.
The group had a number of hits on Motown in the 1970s.
Five of his solo albums are some of the top-selling albums of all time: “Off the Wall,” 1982’s “Thriller,” “Bad,” “Dangerous” and “HISstory.”
He was twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and had 13 Grammy awards and 13 number one singles.
He has sold over 750 million albums worldwide.
His total earnings have been estimated at $500 million dollars. His music videos on MTV, such as “Beat It,” “Billie Jean” and “Thriller” were some of the most influential early music videos, and his sound influenced numerous hip hop and R&B artists.
He was tried and acquitted of sexual abuse allegations in 2005.
He married nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe in Sydney, with whom he fathered a son, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr, also known as Prince, and a daughter, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson.
After they divorced in 1999, he retained full custody of the children.
In the early 1990s, he was briefly married to Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley.
He lived at Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara from 1988 to 2005.
It was sold to Colony Capital, although he still owns a stake in the property.
To celebrate his 50th birthday, Sony BMG released a compilation album, “King of Pop,” in various countries, but it was not released in the US.
The Los Angeles Times reported Jackson’s condition had died after going into a deep coma.
In recent months, Jackson had been trying to revive his flagging career which crashed after he faced child-sex charges – allegations he eventually beat in court.
As the first step in this comeback, the singer had been due to play 50 sell-out shows at London’s O2 Arena starting in July.
But the King of Pop had already postponed the first few nights’ shows amid claims he was suffering health problems.
The Daily Mail in London reported organisers AEG Live said this was in order to make sure everything for the “massive and technically complex show” was running smoothly.
But critics say ongoing concerns about Jackson’s health were the real reason behind the gigs having to be postponed.
Earlier this year, Jackson was seen emerging from a doctors three times in one week amid rumours that he was battling skin cancer.
The claims were denied by his representatives.
Jackson has not been on tour for more than a decade, but the concerts at the O2 were seen as his final comeback before finally retiring from music.
In later years, Jackson – whose personal life and sexual preferences remained somewhat mysterious – was plagued by child-sex allegations.
He was accused of molesting an American boy Jordan Chandler after befriending his father early in the 1990s and reportedly settled for $US30million for the allegations to go away and avoid possible charges.
But in 2003, Jackson faced new child-sex allegations that he abused a teenage boy he had also befriended during sleepovers. The singer ended up facing seven sex charges in court but was acquitted.
The paedophile image, however, did enormous damage to his career and Jackson became a virtual recluse, with his behaviour increasingly weird and reports that his financial position was becoming dire due to bad investments, skyrocketing legal bills and a public turned against him.
Friendship is Priceless – Pakistani Babes
Over the years I have been very blessed by an amazing number of individuals who I class as friends. They come in all sizes, shapes, ages and live in various countries around the world.
The American Heritage Dictionary describes a friend as “one whom you know, like and trust”. Getting to know someone takes time and effort. It requires dialogue and sharing as well as patience and understanding. Developing the friendship can be an interesting adventure which helps you to expand your own perspectives and about issues and cultures.
Liking another person can be an instantaneous experience or take considerable time to achieve. There is very little in life that is more satisfying than to be together with someone you like and to enjoy laughter, companionship, a conversation or a shared hobby.

Trust is a vital part of any friendship. If you cannot depend on your friend to tell the truth, be there for you when you need support or defend you to others, than your relationship isn’t really genuine. Friends promise to be there for you and then live up to their word.

Human Faces Amazing Pictures
The insect world never ceases to amaze. These colorful bugs boast familiar patterns like faces or tribal masks on their shields. While potential predators waste prescious time wondering whether it's food, enemy or prey, the masked creatures plot their protection tactics or escape.
We take a look at seven of these insects that prove: Bug is beautiful.
1. Casperonian
This is a picture example of how the shield pattern resembles a face. Like a huge sign saying “don’t even think about it” to predators - including humans - this stink bug looks slightly grumpy, and for good reason. Just recently, scientists have discovered the nutritional value of edible stink bugs. They’re a good source of protein, fat, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Stink bug stew, anyone?
2. Sheild Bug
These mini warriors have pretty smart warfare defences. Shield bugs, or stink bugs, have glands in their thorax (the part between the head and the abdomen) between their first and second pair of legs that produce a foul-smelling liquid, which is used for defense and released when the bug feels threatened.
3. Barca Branca
In the photograph, this stink bug looks huge but it is only about 1 cm long in real life, making the markings on the mask all the more intricate.
4. InSectHunter
This stink bug from Singapore looks like it’s carrying a gorilla-mask on its back.
5. Wesley Sng
This too-sexy-to-be-eaten bug with his/her sunglasses is actually a crop pest. Known as cotton stainers, these bugs feed on cotton and get crushed with it during harvesting. Their red bodies leave stains, which are hard to remove.
6. Landersz
These firebugs seem to huddle together to discuss their strategy. They are common in Europe and are also part of the cotton stainer family. Their scientific name is pyrrhocoris apterus.
7. Tomasz Gorny
This stink bug is also found in Europe. Doesn’t its shield look like it is made of leather?

Pakistani Girl Naima Naeem Picture
Naima Naeem a student of 3rd year from Rawalpindi is standing in a girl’s school garden in Sawat. The photo was taken last week when she went Sawat to meet her best friend. Naima wants to share her feelings and views about current circumstances of Sawat. She tells that Sawat is one of beautiful places in Pakistan. The lush-green valley of Swat, with its rushing torrents, icy-cold lakes, fruit-laden orchards and flower-decked slopes is an ideal place for holiday-makers who intent to relax and enjoy the fruits of nature.
But now what’s going on in Sawat Valley and who will stop this all? Despite the curfew every day we hear that one or more school been destroyed in Sawat area. And girls are especially told not to go to school or they can lose their lives. Teachers are scared to teach. And security men are threatened and lose their lives. Then question comes to mind, who will protect their right to get educated? And open up their minds so they will raise people who will not be easy prey to extremist and violent groups. We all know that how vital it is to educate women for development process. Things gradually changed regarding women education and rights in rest of the Pakistan, but this reverse trend in Sawat is a drastic down fall. Well Naima thank you very much for sending photo and sharing your beautiful thoughts, we want to say just one thing to you that whole Nation feels for people of Sawat and hate to see heavenly beauty brutally destroyed.

Is liposuction behind Neetu Chandra's curves?
Neetu Chandra’s getting a lot of compliments these days but not because of her role or a film. This talented actress who failed to attract audience in her first film Garam Masala is attracting a lot of eyeballs. Rumors are rife that Neetu went under the knife to get in shape.
According to an industry insider Neetu went through Liposuction surgery done by none other than Priyanka Chopra’s father Ashok Chopra. We contacted the actress who denied the news saying she hasn’t taken any scientific help to lose weight. “No, that’s not true. Though I am not against such surgeries, I haven’t gone through any as yet. I will talk about it when I will do it. Why to hide? I don’t think there’s any harm in it.”

Asin New Choice Of Playboy
Asin, who is currently filming Vipul Shah’s musical bonanza ’London Dreams’ alongside stars like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, admits to finding a few differences between Bollywood and Kollywood. First and foremost, the rising star believes that the South Indian industry displays a remarkable sense of punctuality. Pointing out that film units in the South start early and wrap up on schedule, Asin reveals that it is fashionable to be late to a Bollywood set. The starlet was also introduced to the concept of assistant directors whose main purpose was to monitor her presence on the set.
Though the entire ’Ghajini’ (with Aamir Khan) unit was from the South, ’London Dreams’ has her working with a complete Bollywood unit. The actress reveals that when the cast and crew were shooting in London and Paris, they were given a bound script, shoot schedule, a detailed weather report, location map and reporting time. Also different is Mumbai’s crowd according to the actress. Calling them “cool”, the actress says she’s been enjoying her every moment in Bollywood.
Katrina Kaif’s identity hijacked !
Producers, directors, co-ordinators, Hollywood agents, media persons and others — be warned! Katrina Kaif does not have an e-mail id, which reads katrinakaif84@hotmail .com.
Apparently, an impersonator has been using this e-mail id for the past few days. This has obviously inconvenienced Katrina no end. Our source said, “Looks like this impersonator is obsessed with Katrina but little does he/she realise that it is absolutely unethical to send out e-mails posing as someone else.
Katrina is quite hassled.” Katrina discovered this impersonation only last week when a media person brought it to her notice. Our source revealed, “Last week, a lady journalist called Katrina and told her that she had received an e-mail from her. Katrina was shocked because she had not sent an e-mail to that journalist. That’s when Katrina realised that somebody was impersonating her and fooling people. We don’t know how many mails this impersonator may have sent

From here, get acquainted with an entire schedule of cheap boat service that navigates the lake’s more northern regions to other such scenic towns as Mennagio, Bellagio and Varenna.
Beyond Como’s sweeping views of the lake, don’t leave without making time for a cable car ride up the mountain for stunning shots of the surrounding area. Also take time to explore Como’s richly decorated Gothic-Romanesque cathedral, the old Roman town wall, as well as the town’s handful of art and history museums.
Sophie has a dream to have a house in lakeside villas. Lake has very attractive villas which have been built here since Pliny the Younger constructed the Comedia and the Tragedia
